The Professional Accreditation Process
A clear, structured professional review designed to establish that applicants meet the standards required for IGH3P® professional accreditation.
What Happens After You Apply?
Professional accreditation involves more than submitting an application. Each application progresses through a structured review and assessment process designed to verify professional qualifications, experience, competence and commitment to appropriate professional standards. The stages below explain what happens from submission through to the accreditation decision and ongoing accredited status.
Submit Your Application
Complete the online accreditation application and provide the supporting documentation requested. Your application should accurately reflect your professional training, qualifications, coaching experience and current practice.
Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a unique application reference number and confirmation by email.
The applicable accreditation application fee is paid following submission using the secure payment link provided.
Eligibility & Documentation Review
IGH3P® conducts an initial review of your application and supporting evidence.
This stage establishes whether the application is complete and whether the information provided demonstrates the qualifications and experience necessary to proceed with the accreditation assessment.
Where appropriate, IGH3P® may verify submitted documentation or request clarification or additional evidence before the application progresses.
Assessment of Professional Competence
Applicants who successfully progress through the initial review undergo professional assessment.
Depending on the nature of the application and the accreditation being sought, this may include:
- a written assessment;
- review of a recorded coaching session; or
- observation of a practical coaching session by an IGH3P® representative.
The purpose of this stage is to evaluate the applicant's professional coaching skills, competence and ability to apply appropriate professional standards in practice.
Exploring Your Professional Practice
Following assessment, applicants may be invited to a professional interview with an IGH3P® representative.
The interview provides an opportunity to explore areas including your coaching philosophy, professional approach, ethical decision-making and commitment to continuing professional development.
Final Professional Review
Before full accreditation is awarded, IGH3P® undertakes a formal accreditation review to verify that the applicable accreditation standards have been met.
Where appropriate, this may include further examination of documentation, interviews with relevant individuals and, where applicable, a site visit or other verification activity.
Following completion of the review and assessment process, a decision is made on the accreditation application.
The applicant has demonstrated that the applicable IGH3P® professional accreditation standards have been met.
IGH3P® may request additional evidence, clarification or further assessment before a final decision can be made.
Professional Standards Continue After Accreditation
Accreditation represents an ongoing professional commitment rather than the completion of a one-time application process.
Accredited coaches are expected to continue meeting the professional requirements associated with their accredited status, including continuing professional development, adherence to the applicable IGH3P® Code of Ethics, and participation in appropriate supervision or mentorship.
