Accreditation/ Certification Policy for Mentors

The IGH3P recognises the important role that mentors play in supporting and guiding our members. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of our mentors, we have established the following accreditation policy:

  1. Education and Training: Training organisations must offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers all the essential aspects of coaching, mentoring, hypnotherapy, NLP, NSP, the 3 Principles, and neuroscience applications for coaching. The curriculum must be grounded in evidence-based practices and regularly updated to reflect the latest research and trends in the field.

  2. Experience: Mentors must have substantial experience in their field. This includes practical experience in mentoring, coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP, or the 3 Principles.

  3. Continuing Professional Development: Mentors must engage in ongoing professional development to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date.

  4. Ethical Conduct: Mentors must adhere to the IGH3P's Code of Ethics. This includes respecting the rights and dignity of mentees, maintaining confidentiality, and avoiding conflicts of interest.

  5. Supervision and Mentorship: Mentors must participate in regular supervision or mentorship sessions. This provides an opportunity for mentors to reflect on their practise, receive feedback, and address any challenges or issues they may be facing.

  6. Insurance: Mentors must have appropriate professional indemnity insurance to protect themselves and their mentees.

  7. Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures: Mentors must comply with the IGH3P's complaints and disciplinary procedures. This includes cooperating with any investigations into their conduct or practise.

  8. In lieu of full accreditation being granted, the mentor may get certification status if all requirements for certification are met.
  9. Accreditation Review

Please note that before you can gain full Accreditation, there will be an additional step as per below

Once your application is submitted, the IGH3P (accrediting body) will conduct a formal review. This may involve a site visit, interviews with mentors and clients, and a thorough examination of your documentation. The purpose of the review is to verify that you meet the accreditation standards.

This accreditation policy ensures that all IGH3P mentors meet the highest standards of professional conduct and competence. It provides assurance to mentees and the public that our mentors are qualified, experienced, and ethical professionals.
